This short lived shrub does reseed in South Florida pinelands and Keys restoration sites. As a Senna, it’s a great choice for pollinator gardens, attracting sulphur and other butterflies. It can be used as an accent plant. Careful hand pruning, reduction, can be used to maintain desired shape. Not salt tolerant.
