Maintaining Native Landscapes, from Small to Large Scale

This panel session addresses major concerns and issues associated with native landscapes including best management practices around irrigation, fertilizer, managing customer expectations and understanding the evolution of maintenance over time in a native landscape. Landscape professionals will hear from expert landscape installers and maintenance professionals who have experience working with native plants in special, often more complex residential systems such as ecological gardens and highly diverse landscapes such as meadows, and larger scale but often simpler landscape systems such as those replicated in large managed communities or commercial properties. Landscape professionals will gain insight into the realities of native plant landscape maintenance. With this heightened awareness, attendees will be better able to serve and work with customers to achieve and sustain design objectives.
