In this class, attendees will learn about the potential for offering multiple ecological landscape services to help customers preserve existing native vegetation, remove invasive and other undesirable species, and enhance and maximize the value of a native or native-dominant landscape. The instructor will discuss a variety of service options focused on developing long-term relationships with customers and builders, to include preservation, design, installation, long-term maintenance and community education. Attendees will learn practical, proven strategies for expanding their ecological landscape service business, including:
Importance of and approaches for advance marketing so that services are engaged before clearing begins.
Walking the property with homeowners and (hopefully) the builder
Setting aside special native vegetation areas to enhance the overall property value and appearance
Identifying natural areas to be preserved
Evaluation of native trees and protection strategies during construction
