LIMITED TO 25 ATTENDEES This course uses a guided walking tour to review design and implementation of a three-acre landscape for family education and recreation in a public garden setting, featuring large and small-scale native planting beds along with special amenities such as water cooling features, climbing areas, performance stage and play areas. The instructor will identify native plants used and how their selection and maintenance compliments the landscape’s design goals. Design professionals will gain insight into how native plants can be incorporated with children’s recreational features in a public garden setting, particularly to support nature-based education around wildlife and art. IMPORTANT: this class limited to 25 landscape architects and other design professionals. Other attendees are welcome to walk through other areas of the Garden.
