Meadow Making on a Small Scale: An Urban Meadow How-to

Theater
Wildflower gardening has become a hot commodity in the landscape market. But to be successful, and sustainable, there are many things to consider when building residential and small commercial meadows in Florida. This course will teach attendees how to tackle such a project from inception to completion. Most importantly, attendees will learn how to properly maintain the urban meadow. Attendees will learn how to determine the right size and type of meadow for clients, what is involved in the planning process before construction begins as well as site preparation, installation, and proper establishment of a meadow over the next few years. Attendees will see and learn from multiple examples of wildflower gardens and meadows the instructor has built over the years, with plenty of new material not previously shared in other presentations.
