The goal of this talk is to inspire you and increase your curiosity regarding the many ways to utilize our versatile Florida natives to create dynamic and stunning gardens ranging from formal to wild. Understanding how our ecosystems function will guide us and inspire us. We will address soil/site conditions and mitigation strategies, as well as design principles as they relate to color, texture, cultural requirements, and evergreen vs herbaceous. We will also quickly touch on maintenance practices and some great sources of information on maintenance of natives from within the native industry.
